OUR VISION STATEMENT
At DHC, we strive to foster and maintain an inclusive culture where everyone is welcomed and celebrated, where each individual has a voice that is valued, and where we all have the opportunity to be successful in the hopes of creating a workplace where our differences inspire our growth as individuals and as a company towards the greater goal of better serving each other, our clients, and our industry.
Differences that form our unique identities both individually and collectively as a company.
Providing fair opportunity for all employees, including the removal of barriers.
Cultivation of a strong sense of belonging where each person is celebrated for what they bring to the table.

DEI AT DHC
There are very few times where our entire company can get together, and there were even fewer opportunities during the pandemic. So, when we were finally able to at the end of last year, we decided to introduce our newly founded DEI program to the company with the aim of building new connections with each other and strengthening the existing bonds many of us already had with one another. To facilitate connection building, each employee...
College is becoming more and more unaffordable. We all know this as tuition rates climb every year, far outpacing wage increases. Even for those who happen to have a less obstructed path to pursuing a higher education, it can still be financially challenging to earn a college degree. For others, it’s even more so. In 2019, DHC started a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) Scholarship Program in hopes of alleviating some of that difficulty for those who need it most in our communities.
Every other month, DHC publishes an internal newsletter for employees. It’s a chance to update each other on unique projects that were completed, personal life updates for those who choose to share, company event photos, and much more. In each issue, a couple pages are dedicated to a select DEI topic to engage employees in education and discussion centered around diversity, equity, and inclusion. The topics vary and at times correlate with calendar events/holidays, but the goal is to bring further awareness across all offices as each issue is published.
DHC NEWSLETTER ARTICLES
Employees at DHC have access to an Audible library including dozens of books focused professional development in leadership, soft skills, communication, teamwork, etc. As a DEI Committee, we’ve begun to integrate books that emphasize critical DEI topics, further supporting our DEI education initiative. We are also working towards offering an optional DHC Book Club where employees can choose to participate in reading and discussing a preselected book geared toward improving our DEI culture at DHC. We look forward to the future conversations and growth potential from this new initiative.
DHC LIBRARY + BOOK CLUB
Each month a member of DHC’s DEI committee presents on a calendar related topic at our “all office” meetings. As a committee, we begin each year creating a DEI calendar – a list of holidays, events, observation days/months, etc. that apply to DEI. Some of these observations are noted in our DHC Employee Newsletter and others are presented on in meetings. The designated time during all-company meetings gives us the opportunity to consistently engage with our staff regarding current events or issues which helps to promote a more diverse and inclusive culture at our company.
DEI COMPANY PRESENTATIONS
DHC formed a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee with the intent of putting DEI conversations and agendas front and center to create awareness and advocacy within our company. Our committee meets throughout the year to develop plans and strategies to prioritize the presence of DEI in our company culture.
